四、报告简介：我院博士研究生朱晓野与中央财经大学博士生导师尹力博教授合作的论文《Is Disagreement Beneficial? Evidence from ESG Ratings》经过评审应邀参加“第八届中国金融科技学年会（2024）”。朱晓野同学将在校内就该参会论文做学术报告。

五、报告摘要：ESG rating disagreement refers to discrepancies in ESG performance ratings assigned to a firm by different rating agencies. This study investigates how ESG rating disagreement impacts firm pricing efficiency. The findings demonstrate that ESG rating disagreement contributes to promoting firm pricing efficiency. This effect is especially noticeable during bearish market conditions and among firms exhibiting specific characteristics, including large market capitalization, value orientation, lower return-on-assets (ROA), higher institutional ownership, and superior ESG ratings. The facilitative effect of ESG rating disagreement stems from the diversified information provided by ESG rating agencies, which is more effectively incorporated into stock prices due to the enhanced learning effect of investors. This study is significant for achieving a more comprehensive and objective understanding of ESG rating disagreement in financial markets.
